How to deal with midgies when camping?

Has anyone got any good tips?

I use a combination of skin so soft and smidge, you're coated and the skin so soft seems to make it harder for them to grip on. But the best thing is a breeze and long trousers/ long socks. I wore a mosquito net over my body once on ardnamurchan and the wee buggers still got in.
