Ben Nevis

Hi, I am just wondering if anyone has climbed up Ben Nevis? I am planning on climbing the Ben at the end of May. Any help, tips would be great. Also is there phone internet service on the way up?

If you fall, hurt yourself, need airlifted. It also covers you for claims made against you too. Have a look on Mountaineering Scotland or the British Mountaineering Council for advice. I'd say that most people doing Ben Nevis don't have it mind you.

Don't think I know anyone who has insurance for mountain walking (apart from the free insurance I think you get if a member of the BMC).

If you needed to be airlifted who would you need to pay? MR don't charge for call out and neither does the RAF.

No, they're not going to charge you, so an insurance company won't pay out I wouldn't have thought. Mountain Rescue do their highly dangerous job without fear or favour.
