Has anyone purchased theres recently and if so could you point me in the direction of where is best to buy? Was looking on Amazon but difficult to find ones that are smoke and heat detectors, have lithium battery and are interlinked which I believe are the requirements? TIA

We got the hawkfire ones. Friend; ex firefighter recommended them and the electrician who installed them said they were the ones he generally uses.

I'm mean hawkfire... including installation I think it was less than £400

My brother fitted the safelincs ones for my Mum yesterday. 2 alarms & 1 heat detector £97. Took about 20 mins to fit

Both hardwired and battery will need full replacement every ten years. You need a smoke alarm in the main living area and in every hallway/circulation area. You need a heat alarm in the kitchen and you must have a carbon monoxide alarm in every room with a gas appliance, flue or boiler. The carbon monoxide alarm does not need to be interlinked. The guidance for houses with non traditional layout is non-existent. I do wonder how many old folks will be falling off ladders trying to stick their new alarms to the ceilings.
