Why have the SNP turned on Joanna Cherry again?

Are they concerned she has too much support? Potential next leader instead of Robertson? I’m intrigued.

Spot on @GaolBhoAlba

Cheerychirpy · 17/11/2021 13:31

I’m not sure I’d want the job of the leader of the SNP. There is no prospect of a positive economic case being made for independence any time soon, and without that no prospect of a Yes victory. The Tory party really couldn’t be doing a worse job in Westminster- they really couldn’t - yet we still have a No majority. The SNP leader is constantly being pushed by vocal minorities in the movement to go for a referendum however. I think Jo Cherry is too wide to throw her hat into the ring at this stage.

Wise!

@Redshoeblueshoe

It was noticeable on Twitter today. They really have it in for her. Can someone tell me what sleekit means ? Blush
Sleekit - someone the sorting hat would place in Slytherin.
@WouldBeGood The two other politicians she reminded me of were Salmond and Blair.

She is very clever. But there are others at least as clever as her who caw cannier about it and that plays better internally.
Clever ? In the SNP?

WouldBeGood · 22/11/2021 11:43

I can’t think of any other clever ones and I think that’s why she scares them.

I see one of the candidates for the women’s convener is describing her supporters as “Cherrysites” - the vitriol is appalling

And then there is this:

These activists are odious human beings. Thick as shit and think they are above everything and hold the moral high ground.

WouldBeGood · 22/11/2021 13:46

Just appalling @ElephantOfRisk

How can they possibly think that’s ok?

ElephantOfRisk · 22/11/2021 13:47

Honestly I'd charge them with attempted murder as that's exactly what it is.

WouldBeGood · 22/11/2021 13:56

And now I see The National “newspaper” has given voice to another activist (male) targeting Joanna Cherry and calling for withdrawal of the whip.
