Can I ask for some days out recommendations - we are nearish Stirling so can readily reach down to Glasgow, Edinburgh or up past Perth.

We're good at doing outdoor walking & cycling stuff, so looking for a few alternatives to that?

What are your honest opinions on these that we've never done:

  • Jupiter Artland?
  • Secret Bunker?
  • Whitelees Windfarm?

The reason I mentioned Pitlochry Hydro is that you mentioned some places maybe on a par with Crieff were a dream and Pitlochry is significantly cheaper. Crieff worth it with young dc due to its kids club and posh butlins mini disco vibe but for teens maybe better to save the cash and Pitlochry better for a train journey to Edinburgh too

Nowhere doing buffet breakfasts. Has to be table service only. Cos of Covid, you know

I went to a premier inn last summer and it was still technically a buffet in that you could pick and choose abs go back for more they just stuck in on your plate foe you.

Yes they are. Every hotel we've been to, including the Holiday Inn I recommended up thread

that's interesting to know @walkoflifewoohoo
We were in couple hotels in Scotland few weeks back. One was only doing grab bag breakfast delivered to room and other was cooked breakfast but served at table. Both told us Covid rules only allowed table service in hospitality

It was a palaver at the holiday inn as they got you to wear gloves and it was busy! This was end of May but there was no table service. Coffee machines, pastries, hot food, the lot. Help yourself.

Also at several other places we've stayed. The only table service we had was for evening meals.
