Yes, you want Holyrood closed down Babdoc, don't you? Just wondering who you vote for - have you always been a lifelong voter for the same party as it's quite an extreme view.

@Babdoc that's so offensive. It's quite frankly laughable that you think Westminster is filled with brains and talent.

kurtrussellsbeard, I didn’t claim Westminster was “full of brains and talent” - if you read my post you’d see I said that ambitious and bright politicians might prefer to be there. There are over 600 MPs at Westminster- they aren’t all escapees from provincial assemblies! Some are frankly lacklustre. But it’s a better career move to be at the centre of power than in a limited regional forum.

I see. It is as long as the power remains limited. Independence should hopefully sort that.

SNP are the opposite - the ambitious ones are choosing Holyrood over Westminster. Course ambitious does not mean better - in some cases the possibility of a ministerial post in Scotland, with attached higher salary, may be a tasty carrot.
