Highland moving tier 1 to tier 4 utter nonsense

My husband is a nurse, I have a DD in s5 a ds in 1st year at uni and a bed and breakfast. I have emailed Ian Blackford, Kate forbes and nicola sturgeon to express my displeasure and asking for the evidence to back why on earth we are going to tier 4. There are hardly any cases in Highland I live on a sparsely populated island.

NHS Highland is in no way overstretched yet we are plunged into similar conditions to central London.

How can I complain, protest about this except via ballot box. Does anyone have any links to websites, petitions or marches please thanks

I can't see schools going back on the 18th. NI are having a 6 week lockdown so I'd imagine NS would try and "outtough" them and have at least another 3 weeks.

I so hope the schools go back my DD is meant to have her first English prelim on the 19th she is so stressed by the constant chopping and changing. My ds is back at uni in Edinburgh where no doubt it will be another term of no f2f teaching, meeting tutors or classmates. I wonder what the uni dropout rate this year is or did lots defer.
It's very different lockdown in dark, wet and cold January. Everything has stopped for so many, I can't run my bb or do my voluntary work. I can't go to classes or the gym or go out for coffee with friends. I am jealous my dh has the structure and routine of work. I'm recovering from depression and all these things help me with my mood, I just don't know how to get through Jan which I guess will just be extended. How is everyone else feeling x

I am in the Western Isles we are staying in tier 3 however schools are to be closed so a lot of people won’t be able to work anyway it’s crazy.

I thought the whole of Scotland was in lockdown from midnight?

What a mess, I had my poor DD in tears about her higher prelims as she will miss the first set of them due to school closures. Took her to outdoor boot camp tonight which helped but even this has to stop. All this Ayrshire covid beds at 96%capacity if NHS beds aren't at capacity they are cut. Even 20 years ago working in the Royal Ed we operated at over 100%capacity using pass beds etc. I feel utterly despondent I emailed John swinney yesterday don't know what else I can do. Can't stop thinking of all the Scottish kids in bad homes not warm, fed, safe or educated it is awful. The children's commissioner is concerned and who recommends schools stay open. I feel so sorry for our young folk everything has been stripped away from them. Madness here in an extremely rural island we are being treated the same as central Glasgow. How is everyone else doing x

The islands are tier 3 (not sure about Skye) which is great for business but not if parents have to stay at home with children.

On skye we are tier 4 x
