Essential travel

My word, I am just totally losing track now of what is going on! Going into tier 4. Previously at tier 3 NS specifically said you could go out of your local authority for essential outdoor exercise, but this doesn't seem to be said now in relation to tier 4 in her public statements. Anyone know if this is still allowed? I looked at the tier framework and it sounds like it should be ok, but it is just worded differently and not spelt out like it is at lower tiers. Really don't like being stuck in the city! Argh.

You can't travel outside your local authority area unless its essential travel. Exercise is not classed as essential.

I've done some more digging and found this as one of the exceptions to the travel restrictions (which applies to all tiers, given it doesn't state otherwise). Phew!
"local outdoor informal exercise such as walking, cycling, golf, or running (in groups of up to 6 people from no more than 2 households) that starts and finishes at the same place (which could be up to 5 miles from the boundary of your local authority area)".

Really, who cares?

Just use your common sense and stay fairly local. If your favourite deserted walking path is 10 miles away across a local authority boundary, just go.

All the ROOLZ and laws, and can't do this, can't do that, what a load of shite. Just don't be having parties or licking care home residents' faces.
