Ehm, where is it?
(And the news do suck!)

It was on this morning around 9.30am, just turned it over and there it was. Usually I'd turn straight off but I loved it, so gentle and just nice.

Beechgrove garden is on BBC Scotland. The actual garden is near Aberdeen (used to be in the BBC studi grounds initially I believe). Broadcast on BBC2 on Sunday morning (Thursday evening I think in Scotland). It was on March - Sept time and now they're showing 'specials'. During lockdown they were doing the shows from their own gardens/allotments and having viewers send in clips about their efforts. Its an enjoyable program, catch up on iPlayer.

Must watch out for this as I do enjoy a bit of Gardner’s world but sometimes I look at whatever Monty is up to and think that it’s just not going to happen in my rain sodden neck of the woods!

Splodgetastic · 01/11/2020 16:41

You can also watch it in England! I also like that Scottish cooking programme with two men presenting. One of them is called Dougie and comes across a bit useless in a hapless uncle sort of way.

Think the other one is nick nairn?

I’ve been watching repeats of Escape to the Country. It’s very relaxing.

Yes I like that too. Also money for nothing and the repair shop.

Did he used to be on Ready, Steady, Cook! years ago?

Ace1185 · 01/11/2020 19:51

I like Landward and Countryfile for the same reason Smile

TheSpottedZebra · 01/11/2020 19:55

One of them is called Dougie

Yez, he used to be a pop star! In Deacon Blue. You'll not know them if you're not Scottish, or young.

Scotslassie1 · 01/11/2020 19:56

Also does The Adventure Show, another feel good/escapism prog.

Landward!

Dougie Vipond is the drummer in Deacon Blue also.

Splodgetastic · 02/11/2020 20:54

I wondered who Dougie was as he is not brilliant at the cheffing side of things to the untrained eye but he is nice.
