Like many folks, we are looking for ways to tighten our belts a bit and are thinking of shifting supermarkets. DS has SN though and home delivery or click and collect makes life much easier. Am in central belt. Where do you all shop to get the bills down?

I think farm foods do delivery so that might be an option? I've not shopped there for donkeys, but I get their leaflet shoved through and looks like lots of bargains though you might need to get some fresh stuff elsewhere.

Iceland is good. They don’t just do frozen food and we’ve been surprisingly impressed with their meat when we’ve used them

Thanks for the responses! @Whatatoodoodle do you find you can do a full family shop at Iceland? I would rather do it 'in one go' if I can!

It depends what your preferences are. We did a couple of full shops during the last lockdown and it’s fairly basic but you can get everything you need for ‘normal’ family meals-pasta, rice, tinned goods, fruit, vegetables, salad, meat, laundry powder, loo rolls etc.

@WaxonFeckOff I will check out whether Farm Foods deliver, thanks!

Doesn't look as if Farm Foods offer anything other than in store shopping, but Iceland deliver. So that's worth a shot. Does anyone know if Aldi are doing a click and collect in Scotland yet? Their website is really unclear

Anyone use Costco for bulk buys?

It was maybe Iceland I was thinking of Blush

I use Costco, I wouldn't particularly say it saves me a lot of money as I think I probably just get higher quality for the same I'd spend, plus probably get sucked in and buy stuff I don't need, but it could potentially save you.

The way I look at it is that you can normally get things about the same price in the supermarket when they are on a deal, but in Costco, they are always on a deal.

If you have decent freezer space then bulk buys of meat, split and frozen are good and it's excellent quality.

You have to be careful not to waste stuff though.

I can do a full shop at Icelands. It’s very, very reasonable.

Great! Bye bye Tesco, hello Iceland/Costco!
