Outdoor party question

If children no longer have to distance outdoors (and indoors for that matter) are they counted in the 15 people you can meet with outdoors from tomorrow?
Trying to organise a wee birthday party for my son in our garden but also be careful at the same time.

Really I'm just trying to clarify if this means that I can reasonably have;

13 mobile children
3 babes in arms
14 adults

At a garden party, with the adults socially distanced between households.

It's 5 households as there are some family members who moved in together for lockdown FYI

@JayAlfredPrufrock I do really want to tbh as the party I had booked for him was cancelled, as was our summer holiday so feel like we need a nice party.
I need to work out also if there is legislation covering this in Scotland or only guidance.

I THINK they are still included in the total numbers but it's not clear. I second doing it anyway. I'm sure you'll all be careful if you cared enough to ask!

It said under 18's aren't included in the number of households rather than number of people in a gathering, so a household with a 17 year old couple for example wouldn't be included in the 4 households as long as the person total was correct

The wording is a little confusing isn't it. I was out measuring the garden to make sure all of the households could sit apart.
Worried also in case I upset my neighbours by doing it. It would only be 2 hours on a Saturday afternoon though ....

For me its guidance changing depending on the day...three French hens, two calling birds, etc. I get that it’s just me though!

It's 15 people in total but 5 household s can 5 people in it the children are included but just do it as a 1 off all the adults can Socially d stance can't they.

So next question is... can you actually get into trouble with the police for having this kind of gathering in your garden or is it only guidance.

No you won't get in trouble nobody is going to phone the police on a kids birthday party. If you are worried could you split it into two days. Or have something at granny's house?

We're already splitting it into two days with grandparents and uncle with no kids the day before.
The main party we'd be getting a bouncy castle etc for the kids who are all 5 and under so adults need to stay (and are extended family of ours anyway).

I would do it. I'm pretty sure you are supposed to include children but the guidance is ambiguous enough that even if a neighbour did report you (highly unlikely!) You would have a reasonable argument for doing it. Hope your son have a lovely time.

Thanks guys, I've ordered his cake and booked bouncy castle.
Now praying for a relatively dry day.
