ASD support in mainstream secondary schools

Hi I am looking at moving to Edinburgh and my biggest issue is DS2's schooling. I am in Jersey st the moment and he attends the local state school with 1-1 support in many of his lessons. He has a record of need that says that is what he needs and they are doing a great job at his school I have to say. What are my chances of him being as well supported in an Edinburgh or East Lothian school? He is 12 and has ASD and ADHD 🙂🙂

I know of a few Edinburgh schools who have support bases for pupils with additional needs. My friend's son attended St Thomas's. Another friend's Dd was at Craigmount. It gave them a base to go to and were supported in classes. You would be best maybe contacting Placement Services at the council for more advice.

Thanks @Groovee I wasn't aware there was such a thing as placement services so that's helpful
