Can anyone recommend resources for my DD who is taking this course this year? The SQA outline is very thin, and there's no BrightRed or other study guide that we can find.
All seems a bit unsatisfactory compared to other subjects so hoping we've just missed something obvious.
Thanks

My dd did a crash higher in health and food tech 2 years ago and got an A.
She said that, use the nat4/5 health and food technology course notes (leckie); her teacher used this for higher, learn it inside out and learn the interesting facts sections. 50% of the mark is the project so only 50% is on the exam, don’t worry about it. Hope this helps.

Thanks @Jodri, that's very helpful, I'll order a copy of Leckie and pass on the advice to DD.
I'm not sure if 50% coursework is actually an advantage, the school had no As in this Higher last year so don't have huge amounts of confidence. DD is good self-learner so she'll do her best.

I’ve just checked and it’s not available atm but a good hint for SQA coursework is their Understanding Standards page. You can get to it from the Higher Food and Technology Page on the SQA under the “understanding standards” banner. This gives you examples of candidates from previous years and the SQA’s commentary on them.

It’s a very underused resource except by teachers. But it’s in the public domain and I’d recommend any pupil to go on and look at what’s there!
