parliamentary candidates on their doorstep?

I've had Jo Swinson (lib dem) and John Nicolson (snp) here. Jo Swinson came across as likeable in RL, less convinced by John Nicolson. I know which way I'm going to vote anyway but it was great to actually meet them both. Very interesting to talk to them in the flesh instead of watching them on tv.

What are your candidates like in RL? Please keep it polite.

I wish I was in JS's constituency, then there'd be no dilemma who to vote for. I donated to her campaign, and I really hope she is voted in.

I've had no one chap the door, which is a bit disappointing. I'd have like to tell the SNP what I think of them.

I have found JS to be very personable. She comes across to me as professional, in a way that some other politicians are not.

I live in a safe SNP seat so haven't seen anyone campaigning- had a few leaflets through the door though.

Barely anyone has posters up in their window which is unusual. Maybe everyone is getting bored of politics (I know I am)?

I am definitely seeing fewer posters this time round. I do think it's general voting fatigue - in 3 years we've had the indyRef, the Scottish elections, general election and the EU referendum. Everyone's sick to the back teeth of it all I think and it would be lovely to have 5 years or so with the normal elections and everything being stable.

CocoaLeaves · 04/06/2017 10:38

I actually wish the election had not been called; it feels like the government should have just been getting on with running the country given the multitude of problems there were. It is just adding instability - and i am not a Conservative.

trixymalixy · 04/06/2017 10:52

I don't think I've seen any posters this time round. I do think people have had enough. I'm also hoping the shine is wearing off the SNP now it's becoming clear that they are hopeless in government.

Despite all the marches and flags I really don't think there is appetite for another referendum in Scotland any time soon.

We had a poster in our front garden which someone removed. I found it a couple of days later at Kilmardinny Loch. outs self massively .

CocoaLeaves · 04/06/2017 21:28

That only outs you to people you have told about this, though.

I am actually Shock at that - it is not what you would associate with Bearsden

Me too. Maybe it was the Gruffalo wot did it generously gives snp voters the benefit of the doubt
