Now given the EU referendum result, it's guaranteed. I can almost hear the sounds of Sturgeon celebrating from here.

So we have not only 2 years of protracted negotiations with UK and the EU to get through, we have an almost immediate resurrection of the Indy Ref calls and more years of divisive campaigning hell.

Yes, it's terrifying isn't it, Scotland will vote independence due to political factors despite every economic indication because of this awful Brexit result. Some people are saying Sturgeon is too canny to call indyref 2 without trade deals in place - I wish I had confidence

Free meals for children that don't need them, underspend poverty budget while campaigning about people having to use food banks, wasting money converting signs to gaelic when about 3% of the population speak it and so on. I think it's partly she is realising she wont get them (despite the gladhanding) and waiting will only make that clearer, and partly that she now believes her own BS (which ALL of them fall prey to in the end, tbf).

And I know someone who just wrote to Swinney to ask to not be involved / change their NP. As their given Named Person is someone they have previously formally complained about and they are worried about a grievance. They got a NO in reply and some standard leaflets.

No me either, the arguments the nationalists didn't really want independence never made sense to me, I'm sure they'd back their own rhetoric, we'd already be independent and in the economic doldrums if they'd gotten their way last time, not sure why they'd suddenly see sense.

It's like they had two different conversations. May saying that Scotland is in the UK and will be out. NS still saying (despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary) that Scotland can be out of the UK and in EU.

Bet she is fizzin at all this attention being diverted away from her, but then again, she has got fuck all that anyone wants to hear.

And May has fucked Labour for the foreseeable too if she can deliver on any of what she said in her speech,

A teeny, tiny, miniscule part of me might just on a good day have been possibly open to at least being willing to consider the possibility that Sturgeon really has Scotland's best interest at heart as opposed to blindly and dogmatically chasing independence at any cost.

Re May / Sturgeon / Brexit / IndyRef2 etc.

I (hope) the SNP will see sense.

He thinks they will just carry on over the cliff, roadrunner style, and that we will have Ruth Davidson as First Minister in 5+ years.

I certainly wish NS would concentrate on Education, Named Person, Economy etc rather than scooting off World Leader style all the time. It is very tiresome. I felt quite embarrassed to see her sucking up to Junker.
