I used to love Craigtoun Park as a child. Glad it's reopened - I can see another trip along the coast happening soon Grin

Falkland is lovely. Park up and have a wander round the village - castle and grounds are worth a visit - then walk through the woods to Pillars of Hercules for lunch. Can walk back slightly different route through woods. Or use Falkland as starting point to climb East or West Lomond (or both!).

The maize maze.

The secret bunker.

The sea life centre at St. Andrews.

The beach at St. Andrews.

You can get a boat from anstruther out to a bird island- can't remember it's name.

The pool at leven has a flume and there's a good playground there at the beach.

Pleased to hear about Craigtoun park. We loved it there but the last time we went, it looked so unloved.

Alan Hill behind St Andrews is a bit like Muddy Boots but free. Bell Petigrew Musuem in St Andrews Univeristy. , I think it's only open on Tuesday and Friday afternoons in July and August. It's a natural history Musuem and children love it as they have weird and wonderful species in jars!

Apparently with scotrail of you buy a child train ticket you can get free entry to sea world amongst others. Full details on website. Also vote for muddy boots or carnie fruit farm. Carnie more fun when fruit is ready for picking.
