IKOS - tell me everything!

We are thinking of splashing out on an IKOS for our first ever family holiday next year... LO will be 4. Tell me everything - which locations are best? What is on offer for kids? He may be too young for kids clubs etc but is there still plenty to do for a 4 year old? Anything else useful I should know?

Yep, people spend their money on different things. Shocking, isn’t it?

I guess the people who go to ikos already have whatever car/bag etc they want 😀

I wouldn't give my custom to any business that employs security guards to intimidate middle aged women walking across Greek beaches though! Even if I had loads of money.

One more - if we go at Easter will it be too cold? A quick google suggests Southern Spain / Corfu will be around 17-20 in the day and cold at night. Has anyone been at this time, is it a waste of money?

Southern Spain would be safer than Corfu which can be very wet (it's very green!) but not without risk. Look at some past weather reports to get an idea. You might be lucky but I'd be prepared for some wet or chilly days. Andalusia was cooler than I expected in May a few years ago but still lovely and some days were very warm. A gamble!

i’m afraid I wouldn’t risk any ikos at Easter. It still costs a small fortune and you could have a week of thunderstorms.

the pools and the sea will be too cold for most kids at Easter. May half term is the earliest id go personally.

@hotlipshoulihan32we have been at Easter 4 times and have been very lucky with the weather and it was half the price of May half term. It felt like 24-25 degrees and we were sat at the pool/beach all week with one day this year that was cooler with a little bit of drizzle. That was in Halkidiki - second week of April.

Next easter we’re trying Dassia in Corfu as a change. Easter is so early that the weather is definitely risky but there’s loads to do sports/activity wise that for us the risk is worth the lower price (plus for work we can only go at Easter rather than May half term).

We’re currently deciding between these 2.

Which one would you recommend?

I’d probably recommend Odisia over Dassia based on our experience there this year. But they’re both great resorts.
Odisia is larger and newer, Dassia is a smaller resort but has no negatives I can think of

It’s a close call, but I actually preferred Dassia to Oddisia. Both are lovely! They are next door to each other, but separate hotels.
