Hi everyone!

I need ideas for free or next to free ideas for a 7 year old boy for Easter!
What does everyone do when they stay home or don't have a car?
Just discovered Geocaching so will try that out.
Thanks in advance!

Its trickier without a car but there are always buses and trains.
We go to various different parks.
we have balls, frisbees, tennis rackets, kites and bikes and take a picnic and invite friends.

I buy a family and friends railcard with Tesco clubcard vouchers and use that to travel to some different places for the day. Take a packed lunch and have a cheap dinner out. Some train tickets are £1 for kids I’d you buy an adult one.
Go to visit family.
cheap Kids cinema
book any activities in your local library, museum or art gallery.
google free activities in your area

Visit as many parks as we can locally. Craft projects at home. Home cinema - bake treats, make tickets, draw the curtains and watch a film together. Build dens and play board games.
Lots of local places have Easter trails
for £2 or so

Similar to geocaching in concept but my ds7 loves Pokémon go on my phone. Gets us out and walking around.
play tent in the garden if it’s warm enough,
picnic (either at a park, out and about or even at home on the floor!)
pick a recipe or cuisine from a part of the world together, go and buy the ingredients and then cook it together (eg weve done Mexican theme and then had Mexican music playing when cooking)

Get a blue Peter badge. Get your dc to watch blue Peter and then apply for a badge. It’s an activity in itself and you could get the badge in time for the summer. We’ve used dcs a few times. Child gets in free with one adult paying.

Pawprint badges could be a good option

What part of the uk are you in and how good is your public transport?

We live near a beach and a country park so as long as it was dry we spent loads of time in both of those places. I took linch, drinks and snacks and made the lost of any loyalty schemes and blue light discounts for the odd treats of ice creams etc.

Going to places such as the cinema and bowling earlier in the day can be much cheaper than afternoon and evenings.

libraries and leisure centres often offer free or reduced price activities during school holidays

Hope you have a great time together
