Legoland with 11 year old

My son has just turned 11 and he has never been to legoland. I am taking him to London to visit family and would like to take him there. Would it be too babyish for him? He is not a big fan of the scarier rides at amusement parks anyway. Not a massive lego addict but enjoys putting kits together.

if not legoland whats another big attraction he might enjoy?

Also best way fo getting there from North London without a car? (or should I rent one?)

There are other theme parks around London too. We went to legoland when my eldest was 9 and he liked it. I thought it all seemed quite tired and overpriced, but it wasn't my day out. Have you asked your son what he would like to so?

Legoland is aimed at 3-12, and has plenty of rides he might enjoy if he's not a fan of the bigger type of ride. It's really not aimed at teens - they want thorpe park!

Harry Potter studio tour is great if he's a fan.

From North London, go to Paddington then take the train to Windsor and Eton Central (change at Slough). Then there's a shuttle bus but we always hop in a taxi.
It's worth getting up very early but that's one of the benefits of taking an older child, they have more stamina.

Legoland from north London without a car would be an awful faff and quite expensive. I would look at an attraction in London if I were you. Especially if he's not really into rides or Lego! There is heaps to do in London for a boy of 11. What about a show? Natural History Muesum? Science Museum? A London pop up immersive experience. The Eye. Greenwich. Climb the O2. Art. IMAX. River boat. And so on.

thank you for the transport advice @Smallinthesmoke

We have already done loads of those things, @LittleMonks11 He likes rides at amusement parks, just not the very extreme scary ones. And I think he will enjoy the lego models.
