UC review? Standard?

Hi,
I am currently on UC as I am a single parent and I had a work search interview on Tuesday, I am going back to work in Jan once my child gets their funding. I have just received this today, a notification to check and confirm all of my details are still correct. It included my contact details, children, rent and living situation. Is this normal and routine? It hasn’t asked for anything else and I’m not worried, just unsure as nothing was mentioned when I went in on Tuesday! Everything has stayed the same.
thanks

UC review? Standard?

Yes this is standard and is just being reintroduced after stopping for a while due to covid.

The review team is totally separate to the jobcentre staff. They are reviewing everyone at random. I am a work coach and I had a review during the recruitment process. It reminded me of something I read once about walking through security at the airport and worrying that they might find a kilo of cocaine in your luggage that you never knew you had in there!

Should we all expect reviews @SewNotHappy ? xx

I've been on uc since January 2020 and have only had to update my rent details

I get lcwra and disabled element for dd and lowest pip rate for care needs.

Super anxious about being sanctioned or taken off it 🥺 x

Yes, everyone who has been on UC longer than 6 months will be reviewed. They're pretty standard though. Usually just photo ID and bank statements, then a phone call. They usually take around 1 month to complete.

for your journal how is it best to provide a mix of activities to fill the 35 hours please ?

Generally if you are making enough applications that should be ok on its own. If they want more information or feel it's not enough you could tailor your CV for each application, cover letters, research each company, search for tips on applying/interview questions, research online assessment questions/answers. There are also free courses and volunteering.
Remember going to an interview/appointment is also included in your work related activity. 20 minute walk to the station, 15 mins buying tickets and waiting for train, 20 mins on train, 20 mins to interview. 30 mins waiting for interview, hour for interview and back. That's 4 hours, I think. I'm tired!
