It’s nice, expensive (like everywhere in and around Winchester) but nice 🙂 I have a friend who lives near there - what do you want to know? I don’t know it that well but there’s a good playground near the Waitrose in Weeke so I’ve been there a few times

Sorry I was hoping for some specifics so I could be more helpful, after all different people consider different things “nice” 🙂

I don’t know where you’re potentially coming from or if you’ve been to Winchester before but I’d say it’s a nice place to live if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and suburbs-y whilst still being close to a city and good London commuter links. Mostly families and elderly residents - the Winchester uni students generally live over in Badger Farm and Stanmore. Not the fanciest area of Winchester but definitely not the cheapest either. Though like I said originally Winchester in general’s an expensive area compared to say Eastleigh or Basingstoke.

It has a Waitrose, an Aldi and a handful of cafes, takeaways and charity shops (though you can see that on a map). The tennis and squash club is really good - worth it if you play regularly. I don’t know anything about the schools but Winchester schools in general have a good reputation. I don’t think there’s a pub but Winchester’s definitely not short of pubs and bars and Weeke’s only a half hour walk or so from the centre (there are buses into town too).

If you’ve never been to Winchester before I’d start another thread and ask about the area in general. Weeke’s really not a big place.

Hello my view of Winchester it's so so nice. We moved here about 6 years ago. From high Barnet .it's the best thing we've ever done.i know weeke very well I have friends who moved there 2 years ago and they love it.some lovely areas just outside Winchester Weeke lovely Waitrose .harestock.some many places too walk fields canal walks. We had enough of London like so many of people weve meet. So friendly here. My kids love it.and my friends and family are so jealous of us when they visit us. Best thing we have ever done. Winchester it's self is amazing clean .plenty of amazing restaurants and cafes pubs anything you can't ask for. Bournemouth only 30 min away.the so called bad places are mostly where students are badgers farm stanmore.but when we mean bad it's not London bad. They like to go out weekends and enjoy themselves that's all. No trouble it's all good fun.Weeke is not like that nice and quite with plenty of shops and things to do.i Tesco Aldi and like I said a big Waitrose there. If you're not sure you should at least go and visit Winchester and see for yourself..you won't be disappointed.Best of luck..

Weeke is a nice area, largely ex council properties so not terribly exciting to look at. Good amenities though. Maisonette will set you back £300-£350k.
