Hello, looking to relocate from Reigate in Surrey, however not sure if I am chasing the impossible. Looking for something that is a bit further out but still to commutable to London, good schools, not too congested. Town rather than a village, I think?

I like the sound of Petersfield? What's this area like? Would it suit us coming from Reigate? Or is there anywhere else you would recommend? Thanks in advance!

The other point I should also have made is that it definitely does have a rural feel to it being slap bang in the middle of The South Downs National Park. Further up the A3 even just say Guildford, Godalming etc don’t feel nearly as rural.

Petersfield is lovely and proximity to Portsmouth for independent schools is a bonus - PGS and PHS. There is a bit of a community feel amongst the regular commuters as there aren't so many of them so people do start to recognise each other in town as well as on the platform.
