Please, please, please let my name change have worked ...

I know nothing about sex. Well, obviously I do, as I have dc, but I don't think I know anything more than the practical biological bits.

Could someone recommend a book that would give me a few hints about how to improve sex life with dh?

Keen but clueless

anything by tracey cox tends to be really honest and explanatory! not a scary read at all. hope that helps?

I don't really know what you want. Are you & DH both very inexperienced?

The Lovers guide DVD box set is very informative and sensitively done, it's fairly explicit but not at all "pornified".

It was £10 on amazon.

If you want information on sex toys etc. then lovehoney has a good section, but if you venture onto the forums, be warned, there's some very kinky ( and some disturbing) stuff on there.

Ivillage has some good sex related information on it, positions etc.

This book is really really good - funny, informal and full of useful information. Like having a chat with a big sister or something. DP and I bought it a while back when we were trying to revive our love life, he never bothered to read it but I did and was left very by the end of it that I didn't really have anyone willing to practise all this new stuff on!
Buy it!

Also, lovehoney have forums?! Must dash!

IggleIggle · 22/02/2010 20:23

That's great, thanks. I guess the main issue is that I think I'm very inexperienced, unsure about what we could try to rekindle some of that 'wow' and a little embarrased to try anything new. I would feel a lot more confident in trying things if I had read a book first.
It would also be nice to be able to talk a little more with DH about how sex is which I think would happen if the book is casually left by the side of the bed!
DVDs are no good though as we have far too many people who just drop by at any time of day and night.
Now I just have to remember to log onto my own amazon account rather than DH's to order it. I can just imagine the looks if he opened the package in the office!

The sex advice in GQ can be quite educational and is written for men by a woman...
I'd certainly like to be on the receiving end of it!!

Have fun...
