Shall I point out to dh he just changed some sheets which hadn't been slept in?

Or shall I just leave it? (and sigh exasperatedly on here).

Don't mention it, he might never do it again!

Anniegetyourgun · 18/11/2009 12:16

I wouldn't say anything unless/until he starts accusing you of failing to change the sheets. A man who doesn't believe sheets change themselves is a rare creature indeed - you wouldn't want to discourage him!

On the other hand, if he knows they haven't been used but wants to wash them again anyway, he probably has OCD and complaining isn't going to make any difference.

Kathyis12feethighandbites · 18/11/2009 12:20

LOL. He hasn't got OCD. He just rushes into everything and never notices when I do stuff. He did virtually everything when I was pregnant because I had hyperemesis only now I am on maternity leave and doing loads of housework again; I am feeling insulted that he hasn't noticed

Ah, bless. Top marks for trying to be helpful, but a C- for observation.

Kathyis12feethighandbites · 18/11/2009 12:27

He does get top marks for helpfulness, you're right.

DH does all the washing but has a complete blind spot when it comes to changing the bedding, so I would be more than delighted if he had done this!

Don't tell him as he might never do it again

Kathyis12feethighandbites · 18/11/2009 12:40

Aargh. I am having to sit on my hands to stop myself sending him an email.
I only noticed when I was putting the old ones into the drier.

Good to hear your dh does all the other washing BIWI.

Just rant on here and then let it go

PercyPigPie · 18/11/2009 13:09

You have a husband who changes sheets (without being asked)? [thud]

bigchris · 18/11/2009 13:14

how very unenvironmentally friendly

i'd definitely tell him!

Kathyis12feethighandbites · 18/11/2009 13:16

Good point Bigchris, he is always going on about global warming as well.

On Sat I stripped our beds and left the clean stuff on the bed to be put on later, then got waylayed what with 4 children, two cats three rabbits, all the washing and ironing, oh and being 32wks pg with no5.

When I finally went up to bed after doing the packed lunches etc for the next day my darling dh was in the unmade bed snoring his head off and the clean bedding was on my side.

I think you should say nothing as my dh obviously does'nt even noticed when the beds not made never mind been changed.

(he is lovely in other ways though - he cooks and tidies) lov you dh.

diddl · 18/11/2009 14:20

How did he not know?

Are all your sheets the same colour?

If so, that might be the problem!

Kathyis12feethighandbites · 18/11/2009 14:26

Partyofsix I am shocked You sound like a superwoman though!

They'd been on the bed for ages because I changed the sheets after MIL left. She's coming again this Fri. Between her going and now no-one else has slept in them because it's the spare bed in ds's room (he's in a cot) and we have another spare room which MIL can't sleep in because of her sciatica (slopy ceilings so you have to stoop to get into bed).
