My mum was told she has mild heart failure today. I don't know alot of cardiology. Is this bad?

Not any sort of professional - obviously it's not great but IME with the right medication people can live a full life for many years after this diagnosis.

AnyFucker · 11/05/2009 22:00

no, not necessarily bad

she will possibly need to be on long-term meds but it should be very controllable

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 11/05/2009 22:01

Ah, thankyou

She doesn't do any exercise. Would this not have helped? Will they tell her to do some? Eat better?

www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/23068755/

some basic info on link above. I imagine yes and yes to diet and exercise!

She takes a pile of pills everyday so she's used to long-term medication. I am worried about her crap diet and lack of any exercise. She hardly leaves the house.
