How do you decide to end a marriage?

Like the subject says, just how do you do it?
DH and I have had a rocky couple of years which came to a head nearly 3 weeks ago now.Since then I have been sleeping in dd's bed. I have suggested to dh that maybe it would be better for both of us and our children if we went our seperate ways. But he wants to try again and I promises to change etc. I spent last night listening to him sobbing and felt so guilty.

Give it one more try, put a time-limit on it which he is aware of, then listen - carefully- to your heart?

Sorry you're going through this, and bumping.

You shouldn't feel guilty. I remember your posts when that crisis point was reached. Tell him, and soon - not a suggestion, this time - that your marriage is over.

He doesn't have to agree with you, but you have the inner strength to do what is best for you and your children.

Guilt isn't going to get you through the next 40 years. You can't stay because you feel too guilty to leave - it will just get worse. Don't know your back story - but what's left? You have children obviously - but is there anything else left in this that makes you think you could be happpy in this marriage?

can you see citizens advice and/or solicitor, to givd you the run down on financial matters.

in the cold light of day, that might be the wake up call, or decision maker, you need.
