Well, 'Sexy' turned out to be a nutter too

For those not familiar with my online dating quest ... I was chatting to 3 blokes.

One turned out to be a stalker
One turned out to be a complete geek

The other I thought was ok ...

So last night I'm talking to the man I nicknamed 'sexy' (for the purpose of mumsnet!) on msn.

Well, he started going on about how everything was a conspiracy. Society...the government...9.11 ... everything. Apparantly we're all bees in a hive running around brainlessly completely under the control of 'the machine' (the people at the very top). We're all engineered to fail.

Sexy told me he was an anarchist and one day, he intended to break the mould.

Sooooo .... My spidey senses were tiggling and I decided Sexy... or 'Anarchist' as he will now be known as ... must be a complete and utter nutcase.

So why am I still compelled to chat with him? why am I still interested? Do you reckon he's a nut?

Oh dear - is he a dish? Is that maybe why you still like him.

I don't like the sounds of all his conspiracy talk tbh

cocolepew · 27/02/2009 21:28

Blimey, you can pick 'em..

Pawslikepaddington · 27/02/2009 21:28

Yes I do

TheThoughtPolice · 27/02/2009 21:29

You could always just keep him for sex (providing he can do it properly of course)

LaDiDaDi · 27/02/2009 21:30

He is a nut.

Peanut?
Walnut?
Brazil?
Crunchy?

but definitely a nut.

Run for the hills .

BCNS · 27/02/2009 21:31

I've been lurking on your threads.. but how are you getting these men??

EllieG · 27/02/2009 21:32

I knew a bloke bit like this once. He was very nice and intelligent and ever so good looking, but had some odd views. But he was nice otherwise and not a (complete) loon.

Though yours sounds weirder, tbh.

Pawslikepaddington · 27/02/2009 21:32

This type of thing is why I was always scared of online dating .

StayOutOfTheLight · 27/02/2009 21:33

lol he's not all that much of a dish to be honest. I don't know why, I find him really interesting, althought clearly unbalanced.

He has some really odd ideas but he seems convinced by them. Even suggested some books I should read which 'prove' his point. He sounds manically depressed to be honest!

I will stay clear I think I'm going to try a different bloody site though! That's for sure!!

My sister met a lovely man on match.com - she lives with him now and he is smashing. She went on a few dates with blokes from match.com and though none but him were 'the one' there were a fair few normal just not for her types.

Molesworth · 27/02/2009 21:35

Is he David Icke?

Did you decide whether or not you'd meet the mythical creature one in the end?

StayOutOfTheLight · 27/02/2009 21:39

I'm still chatting to comic book guy. He seems so nice I don't want to rule him out completely. I may meet up with him next week.

OP posts:
Molesworth · 27/02/2009 21:41

I'd rather go out with a mythical creature fan than a conspiracy theorist tbh. Conspiracy theory people tend to be bloody dull rather enthusiastic about their views

Hassled · 27/02/2009 21:43

I like the sound of comic book guy. I predict a long and happy future together. You can learn to love Dragon Art.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 27/02/2009 22:07

oh WTF!!
how can you be so bloody unlucky?
come on now stayoutofthelight
jump onto 'fit and interesting'on lone parents

am expecting to see you there soon

sarah76 · 27/02/2009 22:09

I thought you'd already met with comic book guy this week?

Agree with Molesworth, geeky sounds better than conspiracy theorist.
