Hello, I'm new to all this and have a quick question. Anyone else had to cope with being very pregnant and living with partners parents? Any tips for not coming to blows?!

Move out.

Well, have you been living with them until now? Do you get on as a rule?

Actually, whether you get on now or not isn't really relevant as everything shifts when you have a baby.

I couldn't do it myself. Far too much interference and MIL being a wannabe mummy to my DS. And the put downs.

We are thinking about it but it's a bit tricky cos we haven't got the money just yet! I've moved over two hundred miles to be with my partner and thought we may have moved out by now, got 6 weeks or less before little one comes along!

Going to have to develope patience!

Yes, well just be firm in what you want for your DC and don't let anyone undermine you or make you feel bad about the decisions you make.

how well do you get on?

we lived with my parents for a year and had no probs, but if it had been DHs parents it would have been a different story.

is it a long term arrangement or is there a prospect of your own place?

I moved down here just after I found out I was pregnant so I've lived with them for most of my pregnancy and they've not really interferred. Just pregnancy paranoia I think. Keep thinking things may change when baby born. Think may have to stop thinking and see how it works out in first few weeks!

We almost have the money to move out but partner works from home and money not flowing at the moment. Just wish I knew when we will be moving because then I could get my head round it!
