I'd tell them that women don't look like the creatures in the music videos (or the porn films!!), to respect women, to pull their weight domestically and NEVER walk away from their responsibilities.

I will always love you.

You should put youtr partner before your mother but stillremember your mother: a call is 5 minutes to you and the whole day to your Mum

I'llpick up the pieces but I expect you to take responsibility

Stret sweeping or PM- hard graft should be valued as equally valid and worthwhile.

If you rekain mindfulof others and their feelings but stay true toyourslef you willnot go far wrong

Always go for the girls the other blokes are frightened of - there is less competition and scary girls are more fun.

FattipuffsandThinnifers · 14/02/2009 21:09

Hurry up and give me grandchildren I can enjoy and give back at the end of a day.

LadyGooGoo · 14/02/2009 21:13

See if you're still saying that when he brings back a girl who's 6" 2' called Brian-y and has a suspiciously deep voice

southeastastra · 14/02/2009 21:14

walk tall, walk straight and look the world right in the eye

Be confident and cheerful. It really helps.

Know a little about football and you will be able to chat with paupers and kings.

Most women wish they'd married a plumber. Or an electrician. Or a hairdresser. Take your pick.

(And of course: if you tinkle when you sprinkle/be a sweetie and wipe the seatie).

Merrylegs · 14/02/2009 22:04

mean sprinkle when you tinkle, obviously.

lunamoon2 · 15/02/2009 19:41

You're never too big or strong to cry or reach out for help.

Be as funny and as clever as you can manage. All other traits can be faked.

Find a balance between having your own mind and listening to what others have to say.

Learn to cook, perform household chores and use appliances. (But refer also to point 1).

BoffinMum · 16/02/2009 17:14

Wash your feet and remember to put the loo seat down (not at the same time, obviously).

When women are all dressed up it is chivalrous and helpful to assist with coats and holding doors open. Carrying packages is usually welcomed at all times. As is giving up seats for women on the train and bus. Frenchmen do this and consequently pull more often.

How to cook a decent dinner and clean up afterwards.

Avoid picking your nose and playing with your testicles in public.

How to change a nappy.

How to cope with someone crying irrationally and hormonally.

Wear a condom, even if she says she's on the pill.

If you can laugh a woman into the bedroom you will never be lonely.
