Hi, I am undertaking research on the subject of mothers who leave. I am actually going to concentrate on the adult daughters story. I need a few participants who experienced their mothers leaving as children and who are prepared to share their story with me. It will consist of a taped in depth interview lasting around 40 mins, of course it is all verified by my university and you have gauranteed assurance of complete anonymity, if anyone can help I would be most gratefull, Many thanks (scummymummy please could you get back in contact as your story sounds perfect for my research!)

I think, abi, that if you haven't had any offers yet, you're highly unlikely to get any as I've seen a few threads asking about this.

Sorry... good luck with the dissertation

abikay · 16/01/2009 21:34

thats ok, Actually I have had a few offers on here (through people sending me private messages)but just need a few more, thanks for your advice anyway!I cant imagine my message would offend anyone,if so I really dont mind being told as much, Im just a mother like you not a professional or media person and just asking for some help

thanks Missisboot, to be honest the way I see it is a mother leaving is basically the same whatever age, but my dissertation is focussed on those slightly younger when their mothers left. This angle is the basis of the work ive done so far and it would be hard to change it now, thanks so much anyway
