Info here

Seen loads of threads on here about families fleeing to refuges etc and I thought the above info might be useful to someone if they found themselves planning to escape.

Also, if you feel you could provide a foster home for an animal, you might be interested to read more.

I'd never heard of this service until this morning. Have read all the info and it looks like something that would help ease at least one worry for a woman who is trying to make and take this difficult decision.

for Mamazon.

I'm sure it has got to be a concern for people in this, already diabolical situation.

For this scheme, they're looking for foster carers in the North of England. Dunno why this particular area is a priority a the moment but I've emailed and asked for more info. I suspect we could offer to do this but I want to understand more about what help is available if you get, say a dog, which has been caught in the cross fire of abuse and maybe has problems resulting from it.

We are great animal lovers and could lavish love and exercise and a comfortable bed to any dog in need but a dog with behaviour issues takes pretty skilled handling and in- depth knowledge and I'd want back-up support for that.

I'll see what they come back to me with.

In the meantime, if anyone comes on to Mumsnet and is thinking of taking this route out of a desperate situation, here's one problem that they might be facing which can be sorted.
