Just a quickie, would this put you off?

Would it put you off if a man you had messaged a couple of times back and forth on a dating site sent you a message drunk which made little sense? I know it's hardly crime of the century but it's put me off a little. He's since apologised (light heartedly) and explained that he'd been out to see a drag queen act the night before and got pissed!? Am I being too careful or am I justified?

ah, drunken messaging, dont ya just love it lol

mrsmaidamess · 14/12/2008 20:31

Being too careful.

TurkeyLurkyWithAllTheTrimmings · 14/12/2008 20:31

Depends what the message said. If it was rude/insulting It would put me off but if itwas just rambling nonsense because he got the words wrong on predicitve then no it wouldn't.

thisisyesterday · 14/12/2008 20:33

well, if you are very anti-drinking then yes, I guess it'd be off-putting.

personally it wouldn't bother me. and the thought that he was thinking of me would be a good one, even if he was a bit pissed

crankycrane · 14/12/2008 20:33

I thought the message was "do you want a quickie"

southeastastra · 14/12/2008 20:33

no, it means he's thinking of you when he's all lagging drunk

spookycharlotte121 · 14/12/2008 20:35

lol awww bless him, you were the first thing that came into his drunken mind. cute!

Did you get the nutty grandmother problem sorted btw MrsSnape?

MrsSnape · 14/12/2008 21:02

No, she text me this morning asking if "young man" had done something to upset me as I seem to be ignoring his texts

Absolutely mind-boggling.

What Southeastastra said.

thisisyesterday · 15/12/2008 19:32

jeez she has your phone number??? and she texts you?//

MrsSnape · 15/12/2008 20:34

Well I saw her today and she's completely ignoring me now. To the point of actually giving me evils. Another woman at school that used to be friendly has suddenly gone the same way so it's safe to say she's spreading it all around that I'm some kind of man-eater that led her poor grandson up the garden path and broke his heart.

Ah well

(I saw grandson today, he was fine with me, poor bloke).

I think it depends what the message said, however silly.. Something about it has obviously put you off...
