Husband said my phone calls annoy him

Should I be offended that my husband says it annoys him when I call him? Apparently that’s why he’s constantly hanging up on me. But if I don’t call at all he asks why I haven’t called him & says how come I don’t care about him. I’m not sure if I should be offended or if this is some kind of mind game? Any input would be appreciated thanks

Hes a piece of shit.
You cannot win no matter what you do because he doesnt actually care about the calls.
He wants to find an excuse to be abusive.

Yeah I never call my husband unless I’m locked out or something, that’s what texting is for 😂

Would phone calls from the person you supposedly love annoy anyone? Is that a normal thing to say

Depends how often and when tbh. I’ve had to tell DH to stop calling so much before

I find calls from my partner annoying when I'm tired. No reflection of my love or care for him, I just find chatting on the phone and requests to do so irritating after a long day.

Thanks for the responses. For example this morning he sent me a good morning text saying he loves me, but no apology or phone calls after saying I annoy him yesterday. If we end up talking later & I ask what he meant by me annoying him he will shout & hang up on me. I’m tired of these mind games so I didn’t respond to his good morning text. Does anyone know if this is the right way to go about or what I should do next? Thanks a lot

you text back ‘that doesn’t erase that you told me I annoyed you. You can’t undo these things by ignoring them, and you certainly can’t fix how I feel by ignoring the things you’ve said.’

I guess it depends on how often a day you call him and why you call him.

If my partner called me every hour to discuss dinner, or the weather or what not, yes I'd be annoyed.

We only call when it's important or i CBA to try and word something, mother calls me to tell me football results or what her mate Wendy was doing later that day! I don't answer those calls often 🤣

I used to share an office with 3 men ( pre mobiles) and it got to the point I refused to answer the external line because it was always one of their wives.

What do you want for tea?
The washing machine is leaking.

Stuff like that.
It drove me nuts.

His enjoyment for toying with you exceeds how much he cares about you. People like that enjoy witnessing other people's confusion, hurt feelings, and their attempts to fawn to try and resolve matters. This is not loving behaviour from someone who respects and cares for their partner.

When he's hanging up on you "constantly", in another comment you said "all the time", just how often do you call him?

He calls when he's free but you call him when he's working?

Does he hang up on you when he's free also?
