Putting things in very short and sweet as my head is running wild!
Recently split from partner of roughly 8years (nearly 3 years living together)
Hes currently on my sofa until he finds somewhere to move into
I saw tonight thay he had a recently used app on his phone which was a banking app that he has never mentioned in the whole time we have been together, has only had one bank card throughout this period of time also.
So why would he he have a banking app that hes never said anything or even had a card for this bank?

It's not your business what banking apps he uses.
Has he stolen any money off you? Does he know your banking logins or pins? If so change them.

Otherwise what he does with his money and his phone are his own concern.

Would you like him to go through your phone looking at unfamiliar apps and demanding to know why you are using them?

@PersephoneParlormaidits not about that he needs to tell me everything it's the fact that i feel like hes using me

Does he have his name on the deeds or rental agreement, if not kick him out if you think he’s using you.

I have no clue what banks any of my exes used and they wouldn’t know mine. This question is a distraction.
Focus on the timeline for him to leave.

I have old accounts that still have a few pounds in them and some I've even got apps for. When there was a lot of carpet bagging in the 1990s it was very common. Google if you've never heard the term.

If finances were one of the issues that contributed to the break-up, it's not surprising that you're now suspicious of this newly emerged account @A15R

You know him and for you to even suspect that he's using you, is notable.

Personally, I would concur and I'd also accelerate the timeline for him moving out.

Unless he’s been leaching off you it’s none of your business either way tbh.

Even if he has money it’s not always that quick to sort a new place to rent, so he’ll need somewhere in the meantime regardless of how much money he has sitting around. If you want him out then get him out, if he’s ok to stay it shouldn’t be because he can’t afford to move, it should be because you don’t mind him staying on the sofa. If you do mind, he can stay elsewhere but getting bent out of shape about his bank apps just makes you look a bit obsessed tbh.

Its absolutely none of your business, and nor was it when you were a couple.

I don't provide my husband with a list of the various places I have accounts because he isn't my keeper and I don't need to share that level of information with him. I also don't know who he holds accounts with beyond his day to day bank. Either of us would openly tell the other if asked.

You would need that information if you divorced though and you’d be entitled to it.

The OP is not married but is separating. She never had nor has she now any right to information.

Doesn’t really matter now does it.
