Who organises wedding anniversary’s in your marriage

Do you celebrate your anniversary and if so Who organises wedding anniversary’s in your marriage - together as couple, or the husband booking or you instigating or you as a wife ?

We used to (I’m a widow) try to get away for a weekend on our anniversary. We’d discuss where we might go and once agreed I’d book it.

We don't do presents or cards but usually go out for a meal. For our 25th DH bought me an eternity ring and we had an extra special meal out with the family. It's our 40th in a couple of years, I hope we will do something special. I will book it after we have discussed and chosen together I expect.

We do cards and presents and it kind of varies if we do anything else. We got married a few days before Christmas and have small children. It's a busy time of year and everyone is excited for Christmas anyway. I wouldn't expect DH to plan any kid of surprise though, I'd expect us to talk about if we wanted to go for a meal out or something.

I'm on my second marriage (widowed)
We have been married 4 years. No presents...we decided that early on but we do do cards. I suggested going away this year and we went to a lovely hotel on loch Tay that had pods with hot tubs. So we drank champagne in it. Great fun. Might suggest a party for our 10th but that will just be an excuse to get friends together.

We have a conversation around a month before (either one brings it up) but usually we decide we will do cards and plan a meal no pressies. . We will discuss where to eat together. I normally arrange babysitter
