Had a lovely date today...

Started to chat online eight days ago. Arranged to meet today. He was even more attractive in person. We had lunch, a walk, constant talk, no awkward silence. He offered to drop me near home. Kissed me before we said goodbye. My knees went weak...

He's messaged again to organize another date (can't do it for two weeks but we had talked about mutual unavailability and just trying to make good the time available). We have also exchanged phone numbers. Had been on dating app solely before that. Made a plan to chat later tomorrow, probably evening (again both have plans for day).

He had plans with friends this evening, I said goodbye for day but he sent a message from restaurant he's in saying it's somewhere we could go on next date. He's too good to be true isn't he?

Please say no!!

Yes, I did. He'd told me about a podcast interview he did in relation to his work. It was very interesting, and he is very eloquent. I am trying very hard to stay realistic..

I met my OH on apps a few yrs ago. Chatted for a few days, arranged a date which he arranged for saturday then he cancelled on Friday saying he had covid. Alarm bells rang immediately that he had a better offer and thought another one bites the dust. Well he asked for a " telephone" date instead and we met when he recovered the next week. Felt he was too good to be true at every step. weve made it 4.5yrs and lived together for 2. After a couple of years of apps, One that felt was too good to be true wasn't!! It can happen but this time I didn't pin my hopes on it.
Good luck!!!

When the chemistry is this strong, stay out of each other's homes until you feel confident he really wants to learn all about you, as in for possible long term goals, not just to bed you.

More women regret having sex too soon versus having waited. Players don't have the patience to wait, so it's a good way to weed them out.

All you can do is have a wait-and-see attitude. But it's usually wise to also ask in general about his relationship history to see why his past relationships ended and their length. Some of that knowledge can be red flags in itself. But of course, some have okay reasons such as being young and growing apart, or their partner had dealbreaker behavior.

I hope he's a keeper!

I took five months to meet someone once, but we're still going forward a year on. Enjoy it. Nothing is ever set in stone, but take each day as it comes. X
