Currently trying to work out in my head if what is going on in my marriage/breakdown of marriage is bad insane or just me ?
he doesn’t like it when i leave the toilet seat up, said i dont wash clothes properly, i dont stack the dishwasher correctly. hates me having male friends or male colleagues, doesnt like me posting a picture of myself on my social media, if i pop to the shops/post office/gym like to know how long il be. BUT then i think about what my ex did in our relationship: snorted cocaine every day when at work. lost his drivers licence, owed drug dealers money, lied about drugs. got sacked from multiple jobs.

now i realise my taste in men is probably terrible but my ex who was on drugs did not ever get jealous or threatened by other men etc

i just wondered what insane or bad things to u in marriage ?

Infidelity, physical/emotional/sexual abuse, extreme gaslighting, take your pick.

But one persons sins don't predict, excuse, or obviate another's. Every relationship should be judged on it's own merits.

You have gone from one abuser to another which is not an uncommon scenario.

Your boundaries , already skewed by previous abuse, are being further eroded by this man now. This current man is no good for you either and his controlling behaviour is abusive behaviour. He needs to be an ex.

What did you learn about relationships when you were growing up?. Did your dad behave similarly towards your mum?. Be on your own ; it’s better than being this badly accompanied. Enrol yourself onto the Freedom Programme , you will find that useful.

So sorry OP. Find your inner warrior. If you own or rent the property in your own right put him out as soon as possible. Speak to WA to get out of this situation safely.

Cheated more than once
Called me a narcissist (it was only when we split and I got into another relationship AND she called our daughter the same, and exhibits the same behaviour with her, that I realised she was
Had amazing double standards - would go out with friends and not invite me (that was fine by me) but then would get angry if I was invited and didnt go out
