if he asks me a question and he doesn’t like the answer if said
he will come out with something like
it doesn’t matter was just asking , end off !

I find it maddening 😡 as to me it’s
shut up and say no more on the subject
I feel my blood boil, who the f does he think he’s talking to

He’s gone into his 70’s and I now feel there’s no discussions to be had if he doesn’t see it coming to a conclusion or when he’s heard enough
hence
end of
He just wants a quiet life ! don’t we all

some really good quotes from you all
i shall be putting them into practice
As I’m not having him shoot me down before I’ve finished what I want to say because he’s heard enough

OK guys , typo error extra F
No more jokes on that pleaseee

Isn’t you saying no more jokes shutting down what others are saying? Just like your DP does to you?

OvernightBloats · 01/03/2026 06:50

Do it back to him. He will soon realise how annoying it is. Say the phrase as much as possible to the point you are sick of saying it yourself! 'End of' might even become a joke between you.

"What are you going to drink?" "Tea. End of."
"Where are you going?" "To the bathroom. End of."

Make it a game!

No. It's asking people to stop derailing the thread; which is upsetting for the OP who has come here to ask for help, and tedious to those of us trying to provide help.

Being rude should never get anyone a quiet life.

Just remembered something my dad used to say - 'don't ask the question if you're not willing to hear the answer'. Something your husband perhaps needs to ponder.

Arrogant Sod!

”End Of”…….oh no it’s not!
