Meaningful male gift ideas?

My boyfriend of 2 years has recently bought me a few pieces of beautiful jewellery. I wear them daily and remind me of him through the day.

I'd like to get him something that could prompt similar smiles.

He doesn't wear jewellery and wouldn't if I bought it for him. He's got 2 watches he loves. Any ideas on something he could put on every day which a glimpse of it would remind him of me?

Aftershave was the closest I could think of, but he wouldn't notice a smell throughout the day.

My husband reacts the same way whenever I ask him about a present for Christmas, Birthday etc. He says 'give me a big hug, a kiss and tell me you love me that's all I want.'

Your letter idea is very good.

I've bought practical presents before to a response like a lead balloon after weeks of thought. And lots of 'don't you dare get me a gift' or 'I'm hard to buy for'. The ones that win every time are; (i) experiences, particularly to see their favourite band or outdoors with you and (ii) buying meat like spending a £120 on the best tomahawk and him cooking it for you or importing a cut of meat from somewhere to try

Tickets to see a favourite artist.

Original painting of something that’s means something to him.

Pet portrait.

Does it have to be something he sees/wears daily? You can make a scrapbook of printed photos and small notes of things you love about him and give it to him as a part of your gift. He wouldn't look at it all day every day of course, but it would be meaningful and very heartwarming. If he doesn't like storing albums or photobooks, you can make the scrapbook in digital (example).

Memories are usually making great gifts as well, you can get him tickets to a gig or event he would love to attend. It's not something that would be with him all the time physically but he'll have memories of a good time he had thanks to you.
