FWB

I realise this is a real non problem but it’s constantly in my head and I need some advice please!
Been sleeping with someone for 5 months now. I like him but don’t think it’s mutual. He’s in my head 24/7 and I don’t know how to stop thinking about him it’s driving me insane. He’s so hot and cold which I think is why he’s always in my head.

would you tell him how you feel and accept getting rejected or continue sleeping with him and enjoy the occasional company?

If you can detach and it’s purely physical then yeah, absolutely, but waiting for a FWB to commit never works.

Not when there’s expectations that will never be fulfilled

The OP's herpes comment was posted 25 minutes before your comment.

And again you think it sounds great. He gave her a disease!

Nope! We don’t do anything like that, it’s s*x only. From the car park at work haha, we park in the same place most days

Mine was driving the bus I was on 😆

Have some self respect. You won't be the only one he's giving diseases.

He won't care if he has given you herpes. You bloody should care.

Oh I do but it’s a bit late now he’s given it to me 😢 can’t get rid of it. He probably has no idea he has it

Why do you think he doesn't know he has it?

Advice - go get treatment. Start taking aciclovir daily to prevent outbreaks. Stop shagging a man that gave you herpes.

MayaPinion · 03/02/2026 20:18

If he wanted you to be his girlfriend you’d know. There would be no blowing hot and cold. He’s be there, calling you, taking you for dates, letting you know he’s thinking about you, etc. He’s not - he’s just emptying his nutsack then fucking off home. Every minute you spend mooning over him is an another minute you’re not open to a potentially great relationship with someone worthy of you. Park somewhere else and block and move on. You’re wasting your precious time and energy.

Because if you look at the statistics most people are asymptomatic so wouldn’t have a clue
also I’d hope someone would disclose it

I don’t know wtf @lsavage12is on about. Clearly has an agenda. I suggest you ignore them OP.

It might be great sex but it’s not making you feel good, is it? You think he’s this amazing catch but he’s not treating you well at all.

This is a classic case of “limerence”, where every waking moment is consumed by thoughts of him. Look it up… it can be a huge problem especially if you have low self esteem and think breadcrumbs is better than nothing.

Time to be brave and walk away. Find something else to fill your time… take up a new hobby, hang out with your mates. You’ll forget him eventually.

OP, ignore all the stupid comments. 10% of the population carry the herpes virus, many won’t know they are carrying it, not all will have symptoms, some people will have mild symptoms and brush it off a something else. Of course having unprotected sex with someone your not in a relationship with is more likely to result in catching a STI though the herpes virus can be spread through oral.

You need to stop seeing this guy, he obviously doesn’t want a relationship and is happy with the current set up. It’s much easier for men not to get attached whilst having sex with random people, woman tend to end up getting feelings. The fact you know he’s not that interested makes you want to chase more. He’s not worth it. Block him and find someone who is emotionally available (if that’s what you are looking for).

They I mean I edited my comment to react to the herpes thing. They didn’t see OP’s herpes comment either, so they didn’t see

Eh!? Where you meet someone doesn’t determine how good the sex is, how weird. I’ve been on fancy dates and the sex was terrible.

You’re obsessed with the car park. Anyone can meet anywhere, chemistry and attraction can happen anywhere. A shop, a bar, on the bus. You’re acting like he’s a homeless person who lives in the car park!
Why would someone parking their car NOT be attractive? It’s about the individual. You are tapped in the head
