Over-use of ‘like’

Anyone else’s partner constantly fill their sentences with ‘like’ & it’s driving you nuts?!
my hubby is intelligent (in a business / numbers way) but each time he tells me about his day / social event etc every 2 words are ‘like’. I can’t stand it anymore, I just switch off when he starts droning on!
eg,
me: how was your work dinner?
him: great, I saw Tom and I was like ‘hey I haven’t seen you for ages’ , and he was like ‘yeah I’ve been busy’ , and I was like ‘(insert more drivel)’ etc etc!

we aren’t getting on anyway the past year but this kind of thing is a large reason why on my part. His conversation is REALLY boring! I’ve addressed the ‘like’ issue several times to no avail. Obviously we have deeper problems to solve, but has anyone else successfully navigated ending constant ‘like’ or similar convo fillers?!

It wouldn't be boring if you weren't filled with contempt. Lots of people talk in this manner, but it irritates you because you fundamentally don't like him.

Ooh no. That’d have me heading for divorce. Such an annnoying, affected way of speaking.

I also hate this

Yikes, I am fighting off my pre-teen kids talking that way, if my wife was talking like that, I'd struggle to keep my eyes from twitching.
Have you talked about this with your husband? I would hope that he would be ok to talk about it without being hurt?
