AIBU to not like DH’s Compliment

I bought some new gym leggings , came downstairs on my way out DH looked at me and noticed they were new and said “Nice camel toe” He’s never really had a way with words but this one shocked me. I didn’t know what to say and he just reassured me saying what? I think it looks sexy on you, it’s nice to look at” As in the fact the leggings were giving me a camel toe. I didn’t even realise it was, as we have no full length mirror ATM, I just got dressed and went to head out. I don’t know I just found it a bit weird, I know he finds me sexy and fancies me but pointing that out made me conscious of it

Sorry if it’s silly but it’s played on my mind since yesterday!

Grim. Exactly what I was thinking. Yeah glad I knew but still it just took me by surprise. Honestly how old is he to be saying that kind of thing?

But you want to know, right? Because you wouldn't go out looking like that, would you? At least he told you so you didn't make an idiot of yourself at the gym

I think I took it as objectifying at first.

After seeing these comments , maybe I should have read between the lines and realised he was probably telling just me so I wouldn’t go out like that. Definitely investing in a full length mirror asap

Better someone who's open and free with you.

RareJoker · 28/04/2026 09:30

You thought that was a compliment? 🤣🤣🤣
Believe me, no one wants to see camel toe (no matter how sexy you are!)

whattheysay · 28/04/2026 10:28

My husband would tell me if I had camel toe. It wouldn’t be because he forbids me to be seen in public with it just like it’s there on view, do I know and am I happy with it. I don’t see the harm in it would you have preferred him to say ‘the outline of your vulva is noticeable’ ?

Skybluepinky · 28/04/2026 10:29

Thank God he told you, I’d be more worried that I didn’t realise and was making a show of myself.

I hope you changed? A camel toe isnt a compliment. It means your clothes don’t fit you. And it’s actually really quite grim and a bit disgusting that your husband saw that and actually said, “it’s nice to look at.” That’s just… yuck.

My husband would love to look at my camel toe 😂 why wouldn’t he we have sex and he finds me sexually attractive

Being objectified is not cool.
Tell him to buy you flowers or take you out as a way of appreciating your company. Tell him straight.
