Got a friend where I have tended to do most of the running lately. and therefore decided to be more cool.

I recently heard from them by email and they said they'd love to chat- so sent an email and said fine, whenever you like/can.

Had a need to pass some info on to them last week and ended with " talk to you soon".

Does that in your opinion, imply that I'd make the call- not my intention- or that it was just a friendly way to say "hope to hear from you soon?"

What would you think if you were that person?

I would think 'lovely girlnextdoor, she's so good at keeping in touch, as I never seem to get round to it'. And then not get round to ringing you. ugh it's so annoying isn't it? My sister is like this - in fact she says she knows who her friend are because they bother to ring her!
