Clare’s law

So. I made a Clare’s law referral about a friend I will call x. The following day x said the police had turned up at the home address to ask her if she was the one to do the Clare’s law. She said no. They asked how the relationship was. (Lied obviously) then they went back the next day to do a check on her and the day after that.
I didn’t think the police went out to the person that didn’t do the report? Or am I wrong in thinking this?

I think their concern is the person under threat (your mate) rather than the reporter as the person under threat either can’t see the signs as they’re in lovebomb land or they can’t escape to report it/ get away

She’s lied to say everything is fine and made her sons lie to the police with her too. One son has told the college he is uncomfortable and they have made a safe guarding referral

If you’re concerned for the children , do a social services safeguarding report ?

Apparently the police already have as the Clare’s law was done. Does that mean the know something?

To me it definitely sounds like they know something. Maybe they know something serious about his past. I haven't heard of police going back 3 times just because someone made a Claire's Law request. There must be more to it.
