Expected to give up my time

A woman who is an acquaintance has messaged and ask in if I can help practice for an interview in the week. I don’t know why she asks me as she has other friends.

I have already helped her in the past a few months ago to practice interview questions. She doesn’t like to stay in a job role long. I don’t understand why she expects me to give up multiple evenings to practice for an interview.

My time is important and I find work can be draining so need to switch off after work. Plus she expecting me to do it for free again.

Just say 'sorry, I can't help this time'

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 14/09/2025 23:57

Just say no to her.

Say no.

“Sorry I’ve got a busy work and I can’t fit this in. Hope your interview goes well!”

Easy

Give yourself permission to say no. Without boundaries she will just keep asking
