At-home date ideas?

My DW and I have decided that we’d like to spend our Saturday nights in (which is most weeks - we have two young children) doing something more ‘productive’ than TV & takeaway.
I’m trying to collate a list of indoor at-home date ideas, can you give me your suggestions please? All ideas welcome - romantic, funny etc - we’re just trying to make sure we have quality time together.
Thank you.

Game night. Cards, board games..whatever! We always have a few snacks. I try not to let my competitive side ruin things. 🤣

Ah, good luck. Most of our attempts to do this have fizzled through exhaustion. What I really missed was proper conversation though, and we got the Gorman book ‘8 dates’ and did it all - probably spread over a year or so - which I really valued.

Cryptic killers murder mystery sets from Amazon are great for this

If your kids go to sleep early there’s nothing better than having an early night too- chilling in bed chatting and snuggling is brilliant imho!

Card games, any games for that matter.

Star gazing with a mug of something hot (this assumes you can get an ok view from your house or you are happy to be in your garden).

Bat detecting.

Listening to music and taking turns to choose tracks, even better if you have a bit of a theme to it or challenging each other to recognise it.

Cooking something new together, even something like batch cooking food can be made fun.

Chatting about places you'd like to visit, things you are going to do when you have your respective mid life crises, build a bucket list.

Anything creative if you both enjoy it or one of you does but the other doesn't mind watching or is willing to help or chat at the same time. My parents secretly built a massive lego tower which they showed us kids at Christmas. We were allowed to knock it down which was great fun.

DH and I often go to the pub on Saturday night and when we couldn't because of Covid we had a pub night at home instead. We'd cook 'pub food' like burger and chips or pie and mash, play darts and cards, put on crappy old music and sing along and have a couple of drinks.

Perhaps not very romantic but it was good fun.

Wine tasting! Go buy some of the little bottles or virgin do some cheap selection packs. Make yourself a little cheese board to go with. Lovely night!!

Sounds very romantic to me!

-Set up a camp style/make shift bed and put up fairy lights, a white sheet and projector to watch a movie, snacks, drinks.
-Candlelit meal
-Spa like theme night- take turns to surprise each other with a dark, candlelit room
-Board games night
-YouTube has some great quizzes on a variety of topics- music, movies, geography, whatever you
-Art/craft night- drinks and music would probably make this more fun- buy blank canvas and take turns at painting each other or anything for that matter…whatever style you choose (titanic style if you’re game for a few laughs!)
-Garden date night- hire a hot tub?
-Cheese board, wine and dancing in the kitchen 🍷🧀

Carpet picnic - get some of your favourite snack foods in, party food and a bottle of wine.
Board games - you can play by yourselves or get the kids involved, family fun.
Movie night - in my day we used to rent but with Netflix etc. there is no need.
Music night - get dressed up, put on your favourite tunes and dance around the room.
