If you knew a relationship wasn’t going to last the long haul even though it’s great would you stay until time is up. Our lives will go in different directions location wise in two years. Different continents. But it’s a good place currently and we are each other’s best friends. We won’t be able to follow each other due to other life commitments.

I would say it depends on how old you are and whether you want children.

This.

If you’re in your 40’s and the children stage is over then I would probably say just enjoy it while it lasts.

If you’re in your 30’s and still want children then you can’t afford to waste those 2 years.

If it’s a genuinely good relationship that brings you both joy, I’d say make the most of it while you can.

All relationships end eventually, one way or another, unless you’re immortal. Not all relationships are good, so it’s worth savouring the good ones while you have the chance.
