seriously, its beginning to annoy me. i know it may be a medication problem, but i can hear him from in here and its quiet. as soon as i get into bed its like a musical fanfares of farts and trumps. and it continues all through the night.

Is he able to sit on floor, back straight, then cross left leg over right, bring the bent knee close to his torso, then vice-versa.

Helps me to move trapped wind I fart on standing

misdee · 27/05/2008 18:10

no idea boys.

i swear he does it to wind me up.

I think you just relax more when you're in bed and it kind of just leaks out (well that's my excuse anyway )

geekgirl · 27/05/2008 21:40

you need the Flatulence Deodoriser!
Actually, there's a whole website devoted to Flatulence Odour Control

Personally, my dh isn't allowed to fart in bed or in the same room as me ever (and yes he does get up during the night to fart in the bathroom). You need to train him better.

gingeme · 27/05/2008 21:45

Lucky you geekgirl.
Mine does exactly the same misdee its disgusting. It always stinks so I, and ds5, have to sleep with smell all night no matter how much wafting I do with the duvet . What I want to know is if we eat the same things most of our meals why does he have so much wind ?

misdee · 27/05/2008 23:52

all has been silent in there for 30mins, i'm going to sit on the bed and see what happens....

well i have news that may help.......

when i have just had a baby i get what i lovingly refer to as the evening 'maternity winds'

dpi s dreading this in a few weeks time soooooo............hang in there a couple of months and it may be 'payback time'

madamez · 28/05/2008 02:01

I am a shocking fartypants myself (one of many reasons why I am happily single) and if anyone has any good ways of not farting perhaps they could pass them on. It isn't great for the market research work when I'm having a high-wind day, you know....
Dingdong, good morning sir/madam TTRRRRUUUUMMMPPP pardon me can I ask you a few questions about...

TheRealMrsOsborne · 28/05/2008 02:15

'maternity winds' that's hillarious butterfly

geekgirl · 28/05/2008 08:31

I can only presume it's the beer? (or the meds in misdee's dh's case), I don't fart or belch and eat the same stuff as dh, but then I'm a laydeee!
I have suggested plugging in the garden hose and hanging it out of the bedroom window...

ButterflyMcQueen · 28/05/2008 21:47

Therealmrsosborne!! I do delight in them actually - we only noticed after the second bout of them that they coincided with the post natal period ( could be breastfeeding?!!)

anyway - they will add a certain joy to the post natal blur!!
