Peeing on the toilet seat

Just a rant really - why can men just lift the toilet seat- I wouldn’t mind the odd accident but everyday I have to wipe the whole toilet serval times a day just to sit and have a wee

The men in this house sit down to wee. Our loos are clean and splash free, and never piss smelly, unlike many of my friends’ loos.

When visitors come, I can guarantee there will be splashes to be cleaned. I’ve even found them on the adjacent radiator 🤮

No not at all , I want him to just grab a bit of loo roll and go round the seat atleast.

Wouldn’t it be easier to ask him to lift the seat?

Every man I have known has been taught this basic male life skill while he was a child.

@SweetFancyMosesmy husband, and my two ex-partners, all sit down to pee.

Well now he is not going to do that while you continue to say he works too hard to mop the floor he has left urine on? Is he?

Rather than "nag" him just hand him a mop and say there is a job needing doing in the bathroom.

It’s nuts to me that some blokes don’t. We don’t have a urinal, sit down!

I told a male colleague at work this (on the back of him telling me that he and his wife constantly row about pissy splashes). At first he was incredulous. I think he actually thought it was emasculating 🙄 But, guess what, he decided to start sitting down at home and is now a convert!

Make a fuss every single time. If he's out, text him about it. If he's in, go get him and he cleans it up. There are lots of jobs I'm willing to do quickly if people forget/don't have time. Cleaning bodily fluids on a regular basis would not be one of them.

I don’t think most blokes do. The only time my husband sits to wee is when using a dry composting toilet where he has no option. He hates it. He says he never feels like he’s fully emptied his bladder.

Stop making excuses for him. Does this man carry any of your mental load or is that your job too?

Why would he at all grab some loo roll to wipe the seat as you want him to do when you do it even after shouting at him?. He really does have no respect for you and is marking territory. He is both lazy and comfortable.

This actually made me chuckle a little bit. It’s not like a deal breaker of the relationship for me we’ve been together 11 years and share 3 children. It’s defo not a fettish I think he’s just got lazy and comfortable. He doesn’t do a great deal around the house so I wouldn’t be able to give it to him as a chore to clean the bathroom . He works hard and I respect that he doesn’t want to come home and clean - he spends his free time with the kids and I get all the extra jobs done. It’s just a niggily thing that probably just wound me up a bit more this morning than yesterday

This is quite sad OP. You are actually making excuses for him.

No wonder he keeps on doing it because he knows you will have a bit of a moan at him and keep on wiping up his piss.

He certainly knows what one of women's functions in life is doesnt he? Apart from providing sex and birthing his children you are useful for cleaning up after his bodily functions.
