When do you relax pre-wedding?

We get married in 2 x weeks and I just feel stressed. When am I meant to have that relaxed, excited and chilled feeling in the run up? Our weekends ahead of the wedding are so busy with another wedding, friend's birthdays etc. and I keep thinking of everything we need to do, like pack for honeymoon and the final bits and bobs.

i thin that's incredibly rare. Almost no one is relaxed and chilling out in the weeks before their wedding. It's going to be hectic, just go with the flow!

I was still putting the finishing touches on the table planner at 11pm the night before my wedding 😂

Ok this makes me feel better, thank you!! Do you relax on the day?!

What are you talking about?
I've never heard of anyone having this feeling in the days or weeks leading up to a wedding. Who told you that you'd get to relax?

Maybe change your expectations. Weddings are among the most stressful events you'll ever experience. Most people are happy when it's over 😄

I’d always understood that people relax on honeymoon!

The night before my wedding I was up sewing the coat thing I was wearing for the ceremony…

I enjoyed planning my wedding and did find it fun and exciting, but at the time I planned lots of big corporate events for work so this felt like a smaller version of that, but with the bonus that all the guests actually wanted to be there 😂

We did it all in three months, which felt like loads of time to me (again, from the point of view of a highly stressful working environment).

Currently getting divorced ten years later, so take from that what you will!

Unless you have a full service wedding planner whonis being paid to take the stress, then after the wedding.

Yeah, I mean there's loads of opportunities for naps and quiet chill out...

Most weddings you'll be knackered. If rest is important you'll need to schedule it in!

I enjoyed my wedding immensely but in all the words I'd use to describe it, relaxing wouldn't be in my top thousand.

There might come a point where you just let it all flow and have the attitude of 'if it's not fine, I don't care' but that's about it.

You can relax on your honeymoon.
